Book thief blog #2 in responce to marie curie

I agree that max is definitely a very important character in this book. it wasnt until part 7 that i realized how close they were, when the author wrote, "One was a book thief. The other stole the sky." (381). it was this quote that it hit me- even when all of these people were against Jewish people, Liesel cared and loved Max. he was her equal. I also agree with julius that rosa showed much loving towards max. i never would have seen it coming, it surprised me that she could have a heart like this.
