Book Thief Blog #3, in responce to oedipus

i completely agree! when she first arrived at the hubermann's house she was quiet, but she soon became fond of hans and soon rosa. hans supported her and was with her the entire book, which is why i believe she had a stronger connection with him than rosa. with max coming along, liesel realizes that jewish people are not bad people, but simply friends. this shows how liesel has grown in many ways, because she was going against the entirety of germany to have a jewish friend. I agree with pompey that she did mature at a quick pace. with the war going on, it was hard for her not to mature quickly.
